Get this speech from George Osborne, the Conservative shadow chancellor. His writers are squarely targeting the new generation we're always harping on about that live their lives submerged in gadgetry, feeds and digital media. Apart from Georgey getting his Bit Torrent and his Limewire mixed up (get down with it dad), his speech is spot on. "User-generated content presents a real challenge to politicians," he says. The speech is a long one but worth reading to see how the political advisors are perceiving social media.

Hmmm. I'm not totally convinced, Drew.
I think is the problem between politicians actually getting it and reeling off a social media by numbers routine.
The former will re-engage people with politics, the former will continue to turn them off.
Guido reminds us that "George's" real name is Gideon... or is that his Second Life name? ; )
