I posted up the much talked-about video of the Fireman in the tumble dryer on LEWIS360 earlier today, when it broke on TV, Digg and YouTube. The video had about 1,500 views, and was not being talked about much online. Now it's had 56,000 views and the video is picking up traction in the US online.
I won't go analysing it again, as I feel I said it all on LEWIS360. But it's a great live case study on how a social media spreads a story that has picked up far less interest in print media alone.

I had no idea how far social media had advanced unitl I saw the ofcom report. I heard about the tumble dryer on radio 4 of all places!
The most fascinating part of it all is the interfacing between the social and standard media.
