Readying myself to read Emily Bell's column in todays' Guardian (the paper version, which I buy and hold in my hand to read, on paper, every week) I had a hunch she'd write about her appearance on Richard and Judy as a blog pundit. She did. And she says it's made her life complete.
She also says some interesting stuff about why people begin blogging, and why blogs are now killer mainstream.
When Richard and Judy discuss blogs, they really have become common currency. In a younger demographic, new media is just media.
Perhaps Richard and Judy can do for blogging what they do for books - or maybe it's more a case of what blogging can do for Richard and Judy.

Ironic that they got someone from mainstream media to comment on the phenomenon. If R&J don't have a blog on their website within 6 weeks, I'll eat my metaphorical hat.
My life is not complete since I began blogging, though, I'm afraid to say. There's still the unspeakable existential void. On a brighter note, it's won me a couple of very nice commissions already, and I really enjoy the freedom. Heigh ho.
