Bloggers take on Prescott
Has the tech PR community been following the impact bloggers have been having on John Prescott? One man has caught my attention offline, and I'm now following online. That man is Iain Dale, who was on Radio 4 last week and Newsnight last night (watch the ferocious discussion with Paxman - the recording is online here). "Not since 7/7 has the UK blogosphere looked like functioning in the same way as its US counterpart - until now," says BBC Online. Well, Dale says he's being rolled out to "twist the knife" some more - and a few twists at that. Sky News at 5pm today then on ITV at 6:30 and More4 at 8pm. Will look forward to the analysis of how his blogging is having on all this.
Update - today's the day Prescott overtook Blair in the blogosphere:

Dale came across as rather a sad wanker, a wanabe Conservative MP who evidently didn't impress the voters.
So JP was is a serial secretary shagger - WTF , perhaps more important is RISE and their role in regeneration in the SE etc.,
It is because of metropolitan smartarses like Guido Fawkes and ID that the elites can peddle the bloggers off as fringe geeks and not serious commentators, that they do us all disservice.
They won't let the really serious 7/7 bloggers on because they know what they are talking about and have clear factual information, nit blatherers like Dale.

Drew, When I read this post last week I was eager to see what impact bloggers are having on the agenda. I just posted my findings. Iain Dale's blog received more visits last week than the Labour or Tory party sites and searches for "iain dale" overtook searches for "john prescott" for three weeks. Of course, with news of the supercasino scandal breaking last week and increased interest in his affairs, John Prescott came back out on top last week.
Thanks for the tip on Iain Dale. Makes for an interesting story.
