Google SMS out

Google has launched its SMS service - trying it now and its amazing! You punch in a question / request / whatever, and you get a response texted back from the Google uber computer.

Earlier today I spent at least 15 minutes trying to track down a few guest houses in a town down the road from me. Web searches, Yellow Pages and the phone book were all time consuming and didn't come up with the goods.

But just sent the query to Google SMS service and got two texts back within 10 seconds. Nice!

- one small thing, 64664 on UK mobiles spells MINNG, not GOOGL!
